It’s one thing for a product to use vast amounts of energy, to burn vast amounts of fossil fuels for its manufacture, but if that product then becomes an environmental burden at the end of its lifecycle; that’s unbearable to us at Deregallera.
We envisage a future where components are made from benign, abundant materials. Where they cost little energy to source or produce, and where – when they eventually reach the end of their useful lives – they can be disposed of with no further harm to the environment.
We’re a long way from that ideal right now, but we don’t believe it’s too late. We believe that through technological development we can reduce wasted energy, reduce waste to landfill, reduce harmful chemicals and gases which require specialised disposal.
